Summer Academic Enrichment

This program will only be offered on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

Designed as an academic refresher course for kids going into Pre-K, Kindergarten or First Grade, our summer enrichment program will focus on strengthening reading readiness, pre-writing skills and early math concepts through both written and hands-on activities. All lessons will be interactive and reinforced through frequent use of manipulatives.

 Superheroes

Calling all superheroes! Leapfrog is looking for the best and the bravest superheroes! Campers will discuss the value of helping others, work through a series of physical fitness tests, and explore different powers before ultimately choosing a superhero identity! We will create art projects while enjoying stories of some of the world’s most famous (real and fictional) superheroes!

The Rain Forest

Next, we will travel into the rain forest where we will explore exotic plants and animals. Campers will learn about concepts such as camouflage, metamorphosis, and conservation through kid friendly activities. Campers will also have the opportunity to make working terrariums, go “hiking,” and “camp out” in the Leapfrog tent

Fun & Games

Finally, we will play a wide variety of games both indoors and outdoors. We will use different kinds of balls, cones, hula hoops, jump ropes, etc. All children will take part in activites designed to teach the importance of team work. Emphasis will be on participation, not winners/losers. Every child will earn a medal at the end of this theme.
